Jakarta to Build Two Flyovers This Year

The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is planning to build two flyovers in Jakarta, to improve safety and smooth traffic at railway crossings.

It will use a multiyear system

According to Heru Suwondo, Agency Head of Jakarta Bina Marga, this project is in line with the law which requires that road and railway crossings be upgraded to be level-free through the construction of flyovers or underpasses.

"It aims to improve traffic safety and efficiency in Jakarta, especially at railway crossings that are prone to traffic jams and accidents," he expressed, Monday (1/13).

Tebet and Saharjo Flyovers Walls Repainted

His agency was committed to completing these projects on time and following the set quality standards.

"It will use a multiyear system," he explained.

Here are two flyovers that will be built:

1. Latumenten Flyover, near Mental Hospital on Jalan Latumenten, the flyover will cross the railway tracks. Construction will be focused on the east and west sides of the road, with a west side length of 440.86 meters and a width (Right of Way/ROW) of 11 meters, and an east side length of 439.23 meters with a ROW of 10 meters

2. Bintaro Puspita Flyover, to have a length of 441 meters with a ROW of 9 meters, built to overcome traffic jams at railway crossings in Bintaro
